Aspen can be a difficult airport to fly into – what are your safety policies and procedures for charter flights to or from Aspen?
Our safety standards are second to none. With Aspen jet charters in particular, weather, altitude and other environmental factors are monitored well in advance and during all flights.
All of our Aspen private jet crew members have significant experience flying in the mountains and will be prepared for any sudden changes in weather. Though our crew will always do what they can to complete the charter mission, safety will ALWAYS take precedence – if our pilots determine that conditions have dropped below acceptable safety levels, we will divert to another airport or delay the trip until conditions improve.
If we cannot fly into Aspen, what are the alternatives?
At times, flights may be diverted to nearby airports in the region. Often when wind or visibility prevents private charters to Aspen, conditions are significantly better at lower-altitude options like Rifle, CO (RIL) and Eagle, CO (EGE) which provides private jet service to Vail, CO.
Should your flight be diverted to an alternate airport and you choose to drive to Aspen, we will do our best to help you arrange ground transportation and any other services you may need.
Can you fly into/out of Aspen after dark?
There are strict curfew regulations for private charter flights in Aspen. Very few aircraft have clearance to take off and land in Aspen after dark, and almost all crew/aircraft cleared for night operations in Aspen are local to the region.
evoJets was born and raised in Aspen, so we do have access to aircraft local to the Colorado mountains that have clearance to operate in Aspen after dark. Availability for night flights in Aspen will vary by trip, so please make sure to discuss this with your charter sales agent at the time of booking.
Can I bring skis and large equipment bags on the plane? How many?
Yes. Ski equipment is welcome aboard any evoJets private jet charter, but space may be an issue depending on the size of the aircraft we use and the makeup of your passengers/other luggage.
Please make sure to mention ski equipment and any other extra-large/heavy items at the time of booking.
