15 Oct Charter a Jet – What’s It All About? Charter to the World Series
Charter a Jet – What’s It All About?
What is one of aviation’s greatest unsolved mysteries? It’s not the fate of Amelia Earhart or what really happened to the planes lost in the Bermuda Triangle. It’s not even why airlines decided that it was prudent to stop serving real food in favor of a perfunctory – and often stale – bag of peanuts (although I admit that this one still has me stumped). I’m talking, of course, about the mystery of why more people don’t think to charter a jet for business or pleasure travel.
Charter a Jet – Why Not Try It?
What are they so afraid of? Is it the purportedly exorbitant cost required to charter a jet? If so, it’s time for serious reality check. Jet charter is actually very affordable, especially when a large group is involved. Splitting the cost among several people can significantly lower the price per person, and the benefits can far outweigh the costs, in most cases.
And speaking of benefits… How about fully catered meals (take that Mr. Peanut), stocked bars and liquor cabinets (adults only, please), movies, video games systems, wi-fi, and other onboard entertainment? All of this can be possible – even standard – when travelers opt to charter a jet.
Charter a Jet – Why Leave Fido (or Fluffy) at Home?
Do you think most people would like to have their dogs accompany them on the flight? I don’t mean little “purse dogs;” I’m talking about St. Bernards, Newfoundlands, Labradors, German Shepherds, Border Collies, Great Danes, or other super-sized breeds that are too large to fit in a crate under the seat (i.e. not allowed in the cabins of any major airline).
Do they really want their furry buddy to be confined to the cargo hold, exposed to the heat in the summer or the cold in the winter – with no food or water? If they choose to charter a jet, not only can Fido fly with them, but he can roam freely in the cabin during the flight, if he is well-behaved and trained.
The same goes for cats, although they can also fly commercial since they actually conform to the “under the seat” airline standard. The point is that owners can relax during the flight with their pets, which tends to make the experience much more comfortable.
The main reason that many people do not think to charter a jet is that they operate under the misconception that reserving a flight is difficult and time-consuming. This is not the case, however, when they retain the services of a professional air charter broker such as Jetset Charter.
The Jetset experts have been successfully matching charter client with operator for years, and they have earned a reputation for exemplary service, flexibility, and competitive pricing. Charter to the World Series
It has been played since 1903. The New York Yankees have won it twenty seven times, and the Houston Astros, San Diego Padres, Milwaukee Brewers, Texas Rangers and four other teams are still looking for their first win. What is it? It’s the World Series and it’s a highlight for sports enthusiasts each fall.
The World Series doesn’t really encompass the world, as it’s a baseball series pitting whoever wins the American League against whoever wins the National League. In fact, games in the big series have only been played outside of the United States twice, in 1992 and 1993 when the Toronto Blue Jays were part of the big show. And in reality, it’s not named after the world as in the planet we live on, but instead named after a newspaper that was popular back in the day.
No one can predict which teams will play in the World Series, and so no one knows which stadiums in which cities the games will be played in, but if your home team isn’t part of the show, you’ll have to travel to watch whoever is playing battle it out and that’s where chartering a jet comes in.
It’s likely cheaper than you imagine and it ensures you have a lot less hassle and bother when you charter a jet rather than going commercial. Gone are the lines for security and the hustle and bustle of a large and busy airport. Gone are the cramped quarters and noisy atmosphere of a crowded and hot commercial airline.
Instead, you can charter to whichever city you wish in the comfort of seats with plenty of leg, head, elbow and shoulder room which can also be configured however you wish. Want to take just your family with you or perhaps you’re having a guy’s weekend with a bigger party? No worries, a charter can accommodate everyone and best of all you know your luggage will arrive with you at your destination.
When the Chicago Cubs won the World Series in 2016, they ended a whopping 108 year drought, giving the most years without a win title to the Cleveland Indians who’s total sits at 68. You’ve been flying commercial for all of your life, isn ‘t it time you ended your drought and tried going by charter?
We don’t know who will contest the next World Series, but we do know getting to those cities by a charter jet is the way to go!
Air Charter Myths
Despite the steady increase in the amount of fliers opting for air charter over the last few years, there are still many myths and misconceptions regarding this mode of travel which may deter prospective clients. This is unfortunate, for charter provides many benefits not available with commercial airlines.
Air Charter – Only for the Wealthy?
For example, many people think that only the rich and famous (ie politicians, celebrities, sports teams) can afford air charter flights. In fact, according to the latest research, charter flights can be quite affordable for families and vacationers. Another myth is that only large groups can fly air charter.
While it is true that business travelers make up a large percentage of air charter passengers, the costs are variable – and depend largely upon the size of the group, size of the aircraft, the destination, and the travel itinerary.
Chartering a large jet that accommodates twenty people, for example, may cost the same per person as a smaller one that is filled to capacity. One advantage many potential customers are discovering is that charter operators are very competitive – which translates into more affordability and a greater variety of options.
Air Charter – To Bundle or Not to Bundle
The most interesting fallacy – and one that is still often cited among consumers – concerns the idea that charter flights must be bundled into a specific travel destination (hotel, tours, meals, etc). Air charter flights are in fact extremely flexible – one of their most attractive features.
They do not require any additional purchase, nor are most of them affiliated with a specific hotel or destination. Tickets can be purchased for round-trip flights or one-way and flights can be scheduled at any time to virtually any destination.
Air charter flights are becoming more and more popular with discerning travelers who want a greater degree of flexibility and control over their travel experience.
A qualified and professional charter broker can provide any and all additional information needed to make any informed decision regarding charters. Brokers know that private jet charter is an affordable and viable option worthy of consideration for groups of all sizes, and they can successfully match client to charter operator.
As an added bonus, booking is easy and can be done at the touch of a button in most cases – just as easy as logging onto a travel website and making reservations.
Charter To Pride
It all started with a walk to protest the Stonewall Riots of 1970. Today it is one of the largest Pride festivals in the country, if not the world. What is it? It’s Chicago Pride Festival and it takes place each year on the last weekend of June. While there are events throughout the year, the Festival is a two day affair that ends with a massive parade through the Halsted Strip.
You may think you’ve seen a big parade before, but when the attendance is measured in the hundreds of thousands you may just have to rethink. There are so many people who attend this parade that the course has had to be altered several times throughout its history just to accommodate everyone properly. That’s some parade!
Sure, other towns and cities have Pride events, but if you want to get to the largest one and be part of the action but don’t live near Chicago what will you do? Well, you can fly commercial and sit through the long waits at the airport, go through the tough security screening and then be stuck on an overcrowded jet. Or you can choose to make the weekend sparkle from beginning to end and charter a jet.
Now I know what you’re thinking: “that’ll be too expensive!” but you may be surprised at how reasonable chartering a jet can be. And think of the perks. You can leave when you want, not when the airline says. You know your luggage will arrive with you since you never leave it with airline strangers and best of all you have a comfortable flight, along with plenty of arm, shoulder, head and leg room. You can even configure the cabin however you wish, putting the chairs into rows or into conversational groups.
Food and of course on board lavatories are the norm and there is also plenty in the way of in flight entertainment too. You will have your own pilot and may be able to land at a smaller airport closer to your destination than you would with commercial flights.
So if you’re headed to Pride in Chicago and want to take in the music, the exhibits, the food, the drinks, the parade and the Pride fun, what are you waiting for? Look into chartering that jet as soon as possible! By the way, there is no attendance fee for Pride Chicago but the atmosphere is priceless!
Charter To NYC’s Biggest Event
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade has been a staple each year since 1924. Although it started as a way to get people excited about the store and the first parade was actually at Christmas rather than Thanksgiving, whatever they did worked as today over 3.5 million attend annually and another 50 million watch from the comfort of their living rooms.
Over the years some things about the parade have changed; the route, the participants and of course the balloons. Back in 1927 Felix the Cat became the first balloon ever to be part of the fun. The following year they decided to fill it with helium but didn’t have a way to deflate it, so they just let it go. It popped.
In subsequent years they let balloons go as well, still having no way to deflate them. They addressed them all and if you found one you could take it back to Macy’s for a prize, not that many people did however.
The parade has always been very well attended. The first one ever had 250,000 people lining the six mile route that took the store employees from Herald Square to Harlem. It has been something Americans look forward to each year, and of course over the years it has grown.
There were only a few years where there was no Macy’s Thanksgiving parade and that was while World War II was being fought and the rubber used to make the balloons was instead donated to the war effort. By 1945 however, there were two million people who lined the route, thankful the war was over and things could get back to normal.
Today some eight thousand people walk the route and it takes another four thousand people to volunteer to get the route, the floats and the balloons organized.
If you have never been to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day festivities why not go but do it in style by chartering a jet? You won’t have to battle the crowds at a commercial airport or suffer through the long lines at security checkpoints. You will have plenty of leg, head and shoulder room and best of all you can choose when and what time to fly. Your schedule, not theirs!
If you choose to charter you can land at an airport closer to the action, and get where you are going a heck of a lot quicker than you can flying commercial, and you may even get to watch the balloons being inflated, which happens the night before the big day.
Charter Your Way to Martha’s Vineyard
Perhaps one of the most famous destinations in the United States in which to ‘summer’, Martha’s Vineyard has it all; glorious beaches, spectacular accommodations, plenty to see and do and a relaxing laid back attitude that compliments scarce holiday time beautifully.
Martha’s Vineyard is an island, one of the largest on the Eastern Seaboard that does not have a tunnel or bridge that connects it with the mainland. It sits south of Cape Cod off the coast of the lovely Massachusetts, and packs a lot into her 100 square miles.
Many people get to Martha’s Vineyard via one of the many ferries that run day in and day out in the summer months, but why bother with the ferry when you can arrive on the island in style in your chartered jet? While the airport boasts connecting commercial flights to many of the major cities across the country, chartering in allows you all the amenities without all of the hassle.
Because so many people prefer to leave their car at home, the island is full of tourists and locals alike who have gone off the beaten path so to speak and use bicycles and mopeds to get around. Enjoy the fresh air and ocean scents as you pedal to the pristine beaches or go and tour one of the many lighthouses and you won’t even miss your car, or the ferry that you could have come in on.
Martha’s Vineyard isn’t one of those vacation spots where the party is continually on the streets; instead most social events take place within the privacy of residences leaving the little villages to come alive through their shops and boutiques, museums and places of interest.
Picturesque towns and villages, stately homes and estates and of course the pristine beaches all make Martha’s Vineyard the place to summer, to be seen and to see all the beauty it possesses; it is no wonder so many celebrities choose it year after year for their quiet, reflective getaways.
Once you have chartered to the island, sit back and relax or take to the meandering streets and explore the old whaling heritage, check out the Oak Bluff village that boasts the world’s oldest carousel, or take to the cliffs for stunning ocean views.
The beautiful harbour comes alive with colourful boats and yachts, beckoning you to a sea adventure, or explore the Gay Head Lighthouse, a real working structure that gives you unsurpassable views for miles. Whatever adventure awaits in Martha’s Vineyard, the knowledge you are fully on your schedule will leave you feeling you have all the time in the world.
Charter To The Belmont
Held each year at Belmont Park in New York, the Belmont Stakes has always been known as The Test of the Champion as it is the last of the Triple Crown races and also the longest at one and a half miles long. It is open to three year old horses, fillies and colts alike who want to take their chances at either completing the Triple Crown (if they have been lucky enough to win the previous two races) or in upsetting the front runner and favorite.
In some years the Belmont Stakes may mean a new champ is crowned, but as there have only been twelve horses in history to take the Triple Crown, the Belmont is usually just a great race between amazing horses who duke it out in the Run for the Carnations.
It is the oldest of the Triple Crown races, with the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes being the other two, and if you don’t live in New York but want to attend, how about chartering a jet to do just that?
Chartering a jet gives you plenty of leg, shoulder, head and elbow room and allows you to get to where you want to go on your schedule, not that of the major commercial airlines. There is also reduced security waiting time, and you know that your luggage will be with you at all times, not headed off in the opposite direction.
One of the best things about a charter jet is that they can land at smaller airports avoiding the crowds at the major hubs around the country. This means you spend less time navigating the crowds and more time enjoying your trip.
So, who will be the next big star that emerges from the Belmont? The fastest time ever is still held by the great Secretariat back in 1973. That year he also won the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes in record time, something we haven’t seen since. Secretariat also holds the record in the margin of victory category, as he won by thirty one lengths over the rest of the field.
Who will win the blanket of carnations next? And will you have arrived to see it in style and comfort or have battled the crowds and the commercial airlines and arrived frazzled and tired? Chartering is less expensive than you may think and think of all the hassle it saves.
Charter to Yellowstone National Park
Chartering a jet for business is one thing, but chartering it for leisure makes the trip special on a whole other level. One you can go on your schedule and two you don’t need to mess with busy airports and the hassle that flying commercial comes with.
When you add the freedom of chartering a jet to the freedom of exploring one of nature’s most amazing areas, somewhere like Yellowstone National Park for example you have a match made in vacation heaven.
Yellowstone National Park is 3,468 square miles of wilderness, mountains, wild animals and half of the world’s natural thermal features that spreads over three of America’s states: Wyoming, Idaho and Montana. It is home to many lakes, canyons, rivers and beautiful rock formations made from the volcanic area where it is located. It has nine visitor centers and museums and five different entrances and it the first National Park ever designated in the United States.
Probably the most famous of the geysers at the park is Old Faithful, which treats visitors to an eruption every 91 minutes. Old Faithful is just one of the thousands of thermal features that can be found in the park, and it attracts thousands of people from all over the world each and every year.
Of course the park is also home to many varieties of plants, trees, grasses and flowers and many different animal species call the park home as well. Visitors can stay in one of the many lodges or camp in one of the many campgrounds that are sprinkled around the interior of the park itself, and to make negotiating the park that much easier there are paved roads to the major areas and visitor friendly walkways to get closer to the features.
Because Yellowstone National Park is so vast and has five entrances, you can access it by several smaller airports which is great for those smaller chartered jets to land and take off from. Airports in Wyoming and Montana also have shuttles to and from the park that are reasonably priced and perfect for charter jet passengers to get to and from the park with ease.
So the next time you want to get out into nature and explore one of the most fascinating parks in the United States, why not add to that freedom and charter a jet to get you there in style? It’s easier than you think and will make your vacation something to remember for a lifetime.
