How Private Jet Rentals Help Consumers Beat The Airport Lines

How Private Jet Rentals Help Consumers Beat The Airport Lines

There was a time when flying a commercial airline meant luxury. Today, air travel has become a game of the cheapest and airlines are cutting back seating room, fuel and even charging their customers for that miniature soda offered in flight. When a consumer wants to bring the luxury back to their air travel, private jet rentals are an affordable option.

Taking into consideration the cost of a first class flight, the private jet rental may actually be less expensive than a commercial flight. First class does not hold the clout it used to and a thin curtain is all that separates the business and coach customers from the 1st class seating.

Private jets are taking these commercial changes and offering the consumer an option in luxury. With the introduction of Very Light Jets, a private jet rental option, consumers can actually pay less money to fly to their destination without the hassles of a commercial air service.

There are limitations to these private jet rentals, however. Many private jets offer a shorter range of flight. The cost of the flight may be cheaper, but the distance traveled is also limited by fuel holding power in very light private jet rentals.

In exchange for the distance lost, the flyer cuts down the time spent in the airport dramatically. On a commercial flight, you need to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. These extra hours are there in order for the consumer to check in, check their baggage (which may cost them upwards of $25 a bag or more), and make it through security.

After the flight, even more time is spent waiting for baggage and securing the rental car. A short 45 minute flight can take up an entire day when all the consumer wanted was to fly from point A to point B. Private jet rentals take this confusion out of flying.

For the consumer who needs to fly longer distances, the private jet rental will certainly cost more than the commercial flight, but the return of luxury and the ability to include your toe nail clippers in your carry-on luggage may be worth the extra money.

As more and more commercial airlines find their way into bankruptcy, the cost of commercial flights will continue to rise. Today, the consumer has an option. The private jet rentals once reserved for the rich and the famous are now being booked by the everyday Joe to bring luxury and ease back to flying.

Private jets are becoming more and more popular everyday. Private jet rentals are very expensive and a lot of people do not consider private jet rentals as cost effective. However, the cost effectiveness of private jet rentals (or anything for that matter) cannot be judged in absolute terms. It has to be considered on a relative basis.

The key thing here is to determine the value of your time and then compare it with the cost of private jet rentals. Again, this has to be considered not just in terms of the time you are saving by avoiding queues or by avoiding multiple security checks but also in terms of the time you are saving by proactively preventing the backache or tiredness caused by other normal flights.

Any kind of stress or tiredness prevented by use of private jet rentals is also your gain in terms of saving your next day or next few hours. Moreover, a super comfortable flight (through private jet rentals) can increase your work efficiency (or make your family vacation even more effective for you).

When it comes to business use of private jet rentals, the justifications go even beyond the value of time. In business, speed can sometimes create the difference between you getting a deal and losing a deal. With private jet rentals, you are no more dependent on flight schedules.

You are the boss and you decide the flight schedules as per your needs. Sometimes you might be working on two or more deals at the same time which requires you (or your best sales person) to quickly move from one place to another. In such cases, you can forego the dependency on airline flights and use private jet rentals to move quickly from one place to another.

So, there are a lot of benefits associated with private jet rentals. However, these benefits have to be looked into from the perspective of the value of your time. For a lot of people, private jet rentals are in fact very cost effective.

Chartering Private Jets

Chartering Private Jets

Like the luxury of private jets, but not the cost of owning one? Well, did you know that hundreds of private jet owners allow the management service they use to hire out their aircraft for private charter flights at extremely reasonable costs?

This allows for groups to share the expense of the charter and not have to deal with a majority of the hassles associated with air travel in these busy, tense times.

Scheduling the flights at the earliest possible date can help assure the plane will be available for use, and give you time to collect the funds and plan out your trip. However, one of the big pluses when it comes to chartering private jets is the flexibility involved.

Charter services include, but are not limited to:

  • Professional, highly trained pilots and crew members
  • The ability to go to many locations that are not accessible to larger aircraft
  • Privacy for the passengers
  • A comfortable flight experience, with room for everyone
  • Can, in many cases, be less expensive than traditional air travel

Remote locations do not generally have airports large enough to accommodate large aircraft, and you would have to land at the closest airport. Then you would need to find a way to get to your destination.

On the other hand, charting private jets can get you right to your desired location, providing there is a landing strip in the area. The charter service will be able to get you as close as possible, and may even be able to arrange any additional transport that may be needed.

Some of the primary reasons and occasions to charter private jets include:

  • Hunting trips to remote locations, as some planes can land right at your destination, and come back to pick you up for the return trip.
  • Honeymoon flight to a remote destination, or flying the wedding party in for the festivities.
  • Less headaches than the airport travel, and baggage is generally included.
  • Not being crowded in with total strangers if you don’t pay extra for first class.
  • Comfort and luxury during the flight, since the planes are generally equipped with more comfortable seating than commercial aircraft, as well as room to move about during the flight.

There are private jets that are kept in hangars at small, privately owner airfields that can be chartered, so the wait in lines, getting there an hour early, the invasive searches, and all the hassle are removed from the flying experience. Of course, this is in no way suggesting there is no security at the small airstrips, to be sure.

On the contrary, the security is every bit as tight when it comes to who and what are allowed to travel by air. It just isn’t taken to some of the ridiculous extremes that have been reported by air travelers.

So if you are looking for reliability with less hassle, then you need to look into chartering private jets. Say goodbye to the long lines. Say goodbye to all the headaches and hassles. This is the only way to fly!

Aircraft Sales and Finders Fees

If you are and aviation enthusiast and you like to hang around the airport and talk about airplanes then perhaps you might consider a side business of becoming an aircraft salesperson collecting a small finders fee.

This is not too difficult of a business and it will allow you to spend more time flying and having fun. Plus you’ll get to fly all the airplanes that you are trying to sell for those sellers who are too busy.

As long as you like to hang around the airport you might well consider such a business. The average finders fee can range from two to 3%. So if the aircraft cost $100,000 that your commission would be 2%, which would be $2000 or 3%, which would be $3000. All you would be required to do is introduce the seller to the buyer or the buyer to the seller.

This is one great way to make money at the airport and get to fly all types of airplanes on someone else’s fuel bill. When I was a young man this is how I built flight hours and made money. It was a lot of fun and I would recommend this to anyone.

If you are retired and you like to fly, but you do not own an airplane this might be a way to get your butt up in the air rather than sitting on the ground like all the regular people.

The first thing you need to get started is to get some business cards and a notebook or you can make the lists of all the people you know who are selling their airplanes and those you meet who were walking around the ramp looking aircraft windows and at for sale signs.

Each time aircraft is sold you still have your list of buyers and even hunt around at other airports for more airplanes to put on your list. Please consider this in 2006.
