Five Bathroom Design Ideas To Steal From Luxury Hotels
The shower is often a highlight in a hotel bathroom and therefore yours should be nothing less. Think massage jets, interior mood lighting and of course a walk in shower enclosure. Many bathrooms are equipped with electric showers and a wall mounted shower head could be the perfect upgrade.
Upgrading your shower is one of the easiest ways to update a tired bathroom not to mention an easy way to inject some luxury. Today, thanks to the latest technology, your shower can double up as a steam room and we can’t think of a better way to add a touch of luxury to a relaxing space.
When it comes to upgrading your bathroom to reflect the luxury found in a hotel suite, accessories are the key. Every bathroom can benefit from some plush towels and bath linens as we all know that cloud-like towels are a must for many fancy hotels. Add a plush stack of towels and add a bathrobe too for maximum luxury and comfort.
When it comes to creating a bathroom that is brimming with luxury, lighting plays a crucial role. Harsh lighting can make a bathroom feel clinical and cold so when choosing lighting for your bathroom, try to think outside of the box.
Rather than just one light source, mix it up by adding an illuminated mirror and don’t forget to consider shower lighting too. Many of the latest electric showers come with their very own set of mood lighting to create a pleasant ambiance at speed. Add a couple of candles to soften the mood.
Another timeless addition to your bathroom that you might find in luxury hotels is a heated towel radiator. The benefit of a product like this is twofold. Not only do they heat your towels so that you don’t feel the chill when you step out of the shower but they also provide a perfect place to store your towels increasing the storage potential in your bathroom and keeping all of your linens in one place.
A Timeless Colour Scheme
One thing you might notice when you enter a luxury hotel bathroom is that the décor is classic. Bright colours and bold patterns could look dated after a few years’ time so it is always wise to opt for neutral shades when revamping your bathroom décor. Black and white is always a classic combination and you can’t go wrong with metallics.
If you are refreshing your bathroom décor or upgrading your bathroom with modern showers and accessories, we hope this article has inspired you. Use these five easy upgrade options to transform your existing bathroom into a luxurious retreat.

The key to getting a cheap holiday accommodation is to go places during the off peak seasons. Holidays to the Caribbean are much cheaper during the rainy season as compared to the summer time. Yet, you still get guaranteed a a good and warm temperature.
Instead of going to Florida’s beaches during the summer, why not go there in May and June where theme parks are quieter and temperatures are still fairly high? Hurghada – Red Sea – Egypt – Visitors Info
When I first visited Hurghada in the late 90’s it was a small town, not really large enough to be called a city. Now it’s a bustling city and a hotspot on the Red Sea.
Its coastal location and year round warm weather has made it an ideal place for holiday goers looking for a resort vacation, diving and water sports.
The area is renowned for its beautiful coral reefs, turquoise blue ocean, wide array of colored fish, diving and snorkeling.
The city has grown into a full size city with wonderful resorts and first class Hotels.
The nightlife is thriving with nightclubs, bars and discos. Seafood restaurants abound, and there is a wonderful boardwalk along the ocean where you can sit at one of the many outside cafes and enjoy a meal or a coffee while viewing the ocean.
Many of the Hotels have their own beaches where you can snorkel or just relax on the beach, or have a game of volleyball or tennis overlooking the water.
This part of Egypt is somewhat westernized compared to Cairo, Luxor and Aswan and dress codes are a little more relaxed.
Take a daytrip out on a boat to swim, snorkel or dive off the reefs, or just enjoy the view from the boat. The water is so clear you can see the multi colored fish swimming around even from the decks of the boat. A fresh fish meal is cooked and served aboard before returning around 4pm to get ready for dinner and some nightlife.
There are also live aboard boats that can be rented for a few days or a week for diving, and a variety of other watersports. You can windsail, pedal boat and other numerous water sports.
Another option is to take an afternoon, evening safari in a 4×4 out into the desert to a Bedouin Camp. The trip itself is an adventure up and over numerous sand dunes, like a roller coaster. Witness how real Bedouins live, where they find their water.
Ride a camel and enjoy a genuine Bedouin dinner and entertainment. On the way home a stop to see the stars in a pitch black desert, is something you will remember.
The Alfa Wa Leila Folklore show is a favourite with all. A show spectacle, laser lights, a story line, and Arabian horses. Afterwards the kids can ride a horse or camel. The show is followed with another with local music, bellydancers, and a whirling dervish (a twirling man with colored skirts). A fun evening for everyone.
Half an hour down the road is Mars Salam a city of wonderful villas and luxury yachts recently developed and predominantly European owned. A nice place for coffee or a meal.
Hurghada has wonderful seafood restaurants, and a great selection of souvenir stores for those must have Egyptian souvenirs.
Luxor can be visited as a daytrip, but to visit Cairo you would need to overnight. Hurghada has become a popular destination from many of the European countries with direct charter flights. Many of the regular Egyptian itineraries include a couple of days in Hurghada after visiting Luxor and Aswan as a relaxing spot after several hectic days of sightseeing.
